Market App
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Imagine you run a clothing store online shop. You would love a screen that displays the products you registered in the content studio in an attractive way, but building one yourself every time is a burden. The reverse can also be true: sometimes you want to let other people use a screen you built well in their own workspace.
This group covers the flow of building an app and putting it on the market, then picking one from the market and bringing it into your own Space (the workspace that holds your content, members, and settings) to use. The apps exchanged this way are called Market Apps, and the market where apps are displayed is called the marketplace in the content studio. Putting an app out (publishing) happens at the company-wide (organization) level, while bringing one in to use (installing) happens at the Space level.
Pages in this group
- App building: Covers how to build and package the app you want to put out. Includes the rules and validation for embedding the source Space's access information into the build artifacts (for those who want to upload an app they built themselves).
- App publishing: Covers the procedure for putting an app you have built (an App Bundle) onto the marketplace from the content studio (at the organization level).
- App installation: Covers how to pick an app posted on the marketplace and bring it into your own Space to use, and how to view the installation history (at the Space level).
