# Pricing

WEEGLOO offers four plans: Free, Basic, Pro, and Enterprise. Billing is handled per *Organization*.

Free, Basic, and Pro are flat-rate plans where you pay a fixed monthly amount for a fixed set of limits. The comparison table below shows the limits and allowances of all three plans at a glance. Enterprise is a usage-based plan billed by actual usage instead of fixed limits. For details, see [Enterprise](#enterprise).

> Some resources that belong to a *User* (such as *Personal Access Token*) are provided identically to every user regardless of plan. For details, see [User resources](#user-resources).

> All resource limits apply at the *Organization* level and are shared across all *Space*s.

> The per-Script maximum statements and maximum external calls are a size limit on a single *Script* definition (separate from the *Script* count limit). Enterprise allows 80 statements and 50 external calls per Script. That is the number of external-call statements you can write in one *Script*, while "External calls" under data transfer below is the amount of data that actually went out.

> "External calls" under data transfer covers all the data sent by a *Webhook*'s external call, a *Script*'s call to an external service, and a *Script*'s mail send.

> Assuming 1 KiB is sent per external call, that comes to about 500,000 calls on Free, about 1,000,000 on Basic, and about 15,000,000 on Pro. The actual size can vary from call to call.

> The call count for API data transfer (~1,000,000 Calls) is an approximate conversion based on 1 GiB.

> *Scheduler* is a resource that runs a *Script* on a schedule you set. Because it runs the *Script* once each time it fires, *Scheduler* runs are counted toward the *Script* executions above. A *Scheduler* has no separate execution limit.

> All prices shown do not include tax.

## What happens when you go over a limit {#over-limit}

There are two broad kinds of limit. One is how many of something you can make (for example, the number of *Content Type*s or the number of members). The other is how much transfer volume and storage space you use each month. What happens when you exceed them differs between the two.

### When you exceed a count limit {#over-count}

Each resource has a maximum number you can make on each plan. Once you fill that number, a notice appears saying you have exceeded your limit and creation is blocked when you try to make another of the same kind. You can free up space by cleaning out what you are not using, or move up to a higher plan, and then you can create more again. How this looks on the actual screen and how to resolve it is covered in [Keeping an eye on usage and limits](/operations/workspace/watching-usage.md#count-limit).

### When you exceed transfer volume or storage space {#over-usage}

Free, Basic, and Pro have a fixed amount of transfer volume and storage space each month. Going over this allowance is not billed as an overage. Instead, the feature that corresponds to the item you went over stops. Here is what happens for each item.

- Going over API data transfer: requests that read content from a program are blocked. Managing content in the content studio and moving up to a higher plan still work.
- Going over CDN transfer or Origin: published content is not delivered to visitors. This includes the photos and files you have uploaded and the websites you have deployed.
- Going over external calls: *Webhook* sending, a *Script*'s external calls, and a *Script*'s mail sending all stop. This is because the three share one limit.
- Going over *Script* executions: *Script* execution is blocked, and the *Scheduler* that was running the *Script* is also turned off.
- Going over *Media* storage or *Web Hosting* storage: uploading new photos and files and deploying new websites are blocked.

The stop applies only to the item you went over. For example, if you went over only transfer volume, creating new content is not affected. That said, if even one item is exceeded, it applies together to every *Space* in that *Organization*.

How things get unblocked again depends on the item.

- Transfer volume items (API data transfer, CDN transfer, Origin, external calls) and *Script* executions have their usage tallied afresh at the start of each month. The amount you already used that month does not go down even if you delete content, so it gets unblocked the next month, or you have to move up to a higher plan.
- Storage space items (*Media*, *Web Hosting*) get unblocked when you free up space by deleting photos, files, or websites you are not using. You can also move up to a higher plan.

Enterprise does not have this stop. It keeps running past the allowance instead of stopping, and you are billed by how much you use. For details, see [Enterprise](#enterprise).

The stop and its release follow the usage-tallying cycle, so they may not take effect immediately and can take some time.

To keep an eye on how much you have used ahead of time, see [Keeping an eye on usage and limits](/operations/workspace/watching-usage.md).

## Billing and plan changes {#billing-and-cancellation}

The fee for a paid plan (Basic, Pro) is charged as one full month on the 1st of each month. The month you start a subscription and the month you move up to a higher plan are calculated for the remaining days only.

### Starting your first subscription {#first-payment}

You can subscribe to a paid plan at any time. For the first month you subscribe, you are charged only the amount that corresponds to the days remaining from your payment date to the end of that month. This is because the fee is prorated by the day.

For example, if you start Basic at $8 per month when half of the month remains, you are charged $4 for the remaining half. From then on, the full monthly fee is charged on the 1st of each month.

If few days remain and the calculated amount falls below the minimum payment amount (the smallest amount set for a single payment), the rest of that month is provided free of charge. Even so, the next payment date stays the 1st of the following month. For example, if you subscribe on August 29, the remaining days of August are free, and the first charge is one full month on September 1. Whether this applies to you, the amount charged, and the next payment date are shown to you before you pay.

### Moving up to a higher plan {#upgrading}

You can request a move to a higher plan at any time, and it takes effect immediately once you request it. The difference between the two plans' fees for the remaining period is prorated by the day and charged to your registered payment method right away. From the next payment date on, the higher plan's fee is charged.

If you have no registered payment method, or the immediate charge does not go through, the request is not accepted. In that case your plan stays as it was, and you are told the reason.

### Moving down to a lower plan or canceling {#downgrading-and-canceling}

You can also request a move to a lower plan or a cancellation (returning to the Free plan) at any time. However, it takes effect from the next payment date rather than at the moment you request it. This is so the period you have already paid for is not shortened. Until then you keep using your previous plan.

You can undo your request until it takes effect. If you cancel a scheduled change or cancellation, your current plan simply continues.

A cancellation is never refused, regardless of how much you are using. A move from a paid plan down to a lower paid plan, on the other hand, is refused if what you are using exceeds that plan's limits. In that case you can clear the excess and request it again, or request a cancellation instead.

If what you are using exceeds the new plan's limits after the plan moves down, features that increase usage are blocked until the excess is cleared, such as registering new *Content* and *Media* or deploying websites. Your stored data is not deleted arbitrarily, so you can clear the excess by deleting data yourself. Reading and downloading remain available within the new plan's limits. If the excess continues beyond the period you were told about, the data corresponding to the excess may be deleted after you are told again.

### If a payment fails {#payment-failure}

If a recurring payment on your registered payment method does not go through, you get a grace period of 15 days from the scheduled payment date. During the grace period your plan and limits stay as they are, so you can keep using the service. In the meantime, you are asked several times, by email and other means, to change your payment method or pay the outstanding fee.

If the payment is not completed by the end of the grace period, your subscription is canceled and you are moved to the Free plan. The outstanding fee and your use during the grace period are not billed separately. If what you are using exceeds the Free plan's limits, it is handled the same way as described in [Moving down to a lower plan or canceling](#downgrading-and-canceling). You can subscribe to a paid plan again at any time.

## Enterprise {#enterprise}

Enterprise is a usage-based plan billed by how much you use. Unlike Free, Basic, and Pro, it does not run on fixed limits and a flat monthly fee; it is billed based on actual usage.

It is a plan for organizations that need large-scale traffic or a scale beyond the fixed limits. Limits and pricing are determined individually to match each organization's requirements, so please contact us if you are considering adopting it.

## User resources {#user-resources}

The following resources belong directly to a *User* account and are provided regardless of the plan of the *Organization* the user belongs to.

| Item | Limit per *User* | Notes |
|------|------------------|-------|
| *Organization* | 3 | This refers not to the number of *Organization* resources a user can belong to, but to the number of *Organization* resources a user **can create directly**. |
| *Personal Access Token* | 5 | |
